City: Atlanta
State/Prov.: GA Occupation: Recruiting, Training, and Development Marital Status: Single From David: I've been in Atlanta since 1997, and live very close to downtown, just between the King Center and the Carter Center. I've been working in college publishing since 1988, shortly after I left graduate school. Personally and professionally, I've been lucky to enjoy a very fun and interesting 30 years. I travel extensively for work, mostly to the SF area. I love my life here in Atlanta, and it's been awhile since I have really "missed" Texas, although I am sure that I'll be back for good at some point. When I am not traveling and working, I still love to play tennis and work out. I spend a considerable amount of time doing volunteer work. At the moment, I am raising money and awareness for the Emory Vaccine Center, as they are doing some incredible work in developing an HIV/AIDS vaccine. I spend most of my time with friends and extended "family". And, I look forward to seeing all of you in late July. |

State/Prov.: Texas Marital Status: Single Again No. of Children: 2 From Linda: Rather than follow an academic or professional career, I gave priority being a homemaker and mother. I have two daughters, Bonnie who proudly served in Iraq for her country and Grace who is currently on a soccer scholarship in North Carolina, In the 80's and 90's I worked as a personnel assistant for several sports celebrities. Mike Matheny, Ben McDonald, Randy Valarde, Andy Stankiewicz, Cal Eldred, Steve Sparks, Mark Dewey and Blas Minor. Milwaukee Brewers, Anaheim Angels and Arizona Diamondbacks. One of my passions is travel. I lived in England for a short while. I have visited Paris, Barcelona, Naples, Capri and Mexico. I will be touring shortly on a sailboat thru the British Virgin Islands. Later this yearI hope to visit Macchu Picchu, The Lost City of the Incas in Peru. One of my heros is Frida Kahlo, surrealist painter and revolutionist. I will be taking a pilgrimage to her family home and the home she shared with artist Deigo Rivera . I am also keen on ballroom dancing ,with Argentenian Tango and International Rumba my specialities. **This note has been added on by the reunion committee. Linda passed away one year after the reunion on July 17, 2009. We enjoyed watching her wonderful ballroom dancing and zest for life. We offer our most sincere condolences to her family. |

State/Prov.: TX Occupation: Project Manager Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 1 Spouse/Significant Other: Terri From David: Greetings to all of my great former classmates! I regret that I am not able to attend this reunion, having enjoyed all of the previous ones. Last year I escorted your former BHS Librarian (Mrs. Guinn) to Bryan for the 65th SFA High Class Reunion. It was a humbling experience to see these folk’s spirit as well as their determination to keep in touch and reminisce about their lives; and it passes so quickly. I do hope that we will all want to keep this going at least that long as well! Accolades are in order for those who put forth such a great effort to keep making these Reunions a reality.
I live in the Corpus Christi area with my beautiful wife Terri who is an Elementary Music Teacher and my 12-year-old daughter Emma, who is a budding young musician. The Lord has blessed us with good health and a great life. I am Principal Engineer, managing projects for a Petrochemical Company known as LyondellBasell Industries. I was one of the traitors of the class as I graduated from the College of Engineering at UT Austin in '82. To me happiness was Bryan Texas in my rear view mirror in '78; but now I treasure growing up in a small town full of good people with strong moral values as it has made me a better person.
One last thought - it looks as if this year the Saturday night picture won’t have 2 separate images of Tom Lewis and myself on the ends, which will most likely be an improvement.
